How long have you been in business?
Ideal Portraits is a new business to Cedar Rapids. It was started with an experienced photographer of 3 years who was unhappy with the money focused aspects of the industry. Our business emerged from the urge to do photography that focuses entirely on the customer and their needs while still providing a very affordable and quality service.
What is your primary product or service?
We are a photography business that offers unique, affordable, and friendly services for almost any photography need (including but not limited to families, children, babies, seniors, weddings, events, and more).
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We basically offer the affordability of corporately owned studios with the convenience and luxuries of private photographers. We have an intense focus on customer service at some of the best prices in town, gauranteed.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Right now we are doing all on location work. This does not just mean outdoor sessions, but can also mean setting up a studio type session in the comfort of your own home, which we've come to find very convenient for families with children. Eventually when we have funding built up, we would like to open a deluxe studio location in Cedar Rapids fully equipped with a supervised play area, a complimentary snack bar, and more!
What type of payments do you accept?
Currently we accept cash and check only. In the future, we will accept cards, but not right now.
Which areas do you service?
We are based out of Cedar Rapids, IA, but we will travel wherever we are needed. (Please note that there is a minimal travel fee for locations that are more than 20 miles away.)
What are your hours of operation?
We have currently decided not to form a set hours of operation to better service our customers. We want to be able to tailor to your individual needs without restrictions. The only limitation is to not overbook ourselves, so it is first come, first serve. :)
